While other Texas High Schools offer the latest technology, high security, and safety improvements, Midland schools continue to deteriorate. - Voters have not passed a school bond since 2012. - The average age of a school building in MISD is 60 years old. - Secondary schools have not been addressed in over 20 years when a bond was passed in 2002 for additions to the aging Midland HS and Legacy HS. - The average age of a school building in the US is 42 years old.
