Great update today from my Endurant Energy colleague Mark Metzner at the IGSHPA conference on the revised and updated CSA / ANSI / IGSHPA C448 standards that will include new standards on #EnergyFoundations and district energy systems are to be released in May.

Like many western utilities, PG&E has seen its?credit rating downgraded?as a result of increased #wildfire litigation. While the company has improved financial performance since its 2019 bankruptcy, last month’s wildfires have eliminated the possibility that the company’s’ credit score will improve substantially this year. Something else that won't be improving: #utility rates. Customers should expect the trendlines to continue. Consider evaluating onsite generation technologies like #microgrids to hedge against #energy cost increases and protect against future #grid outages. Endurant Energy can help with objective evaluations of numerous energy technologies.

Exciting updates for the 555 Greenwich NYC project! There is still time left to vote! If you’re an IGSHPA member, voting officially closes February 7th. Cast your vote here: https://lnkd.in/grZT8VTp
Proud to share that the Hines 555 Greenwich NYC, all-electric commercial building utilizing #EnergyFoundations, has been nominated for the 2025 International Ground Source Heat Pump Association (IGSHPA) Commercial Innovation Award! Operational now for some 18 months, the building is exceeding performance expectations—demonstrating the power of sustainable, high-efficiency GSHP solutions. #EnergyFoundations provides a low-cost, zero-schedule-impact geothermal solution, compared to drilling boreholes. Only a few days left to vote! If you’re an IGSHPA member, we’d love your support. Voting closes on February 7—cast your vote here: https://lnkd.in/grZT8VTp

California is offering grace to companies subject to its climate disclosure rule. The California Air Resources Board (CARB) will not take enforcement action for incomplete reporting in the first reporting cycle, given companies make a good faith effort to retain all data relevant to emissions reporting. If your organization is looking to reduce its emissions while increasing reliability and cost savings, Endurant Energy can help. More on CARB's decision here: https://lnkd.in/gY8-r67i

Thank you to Laura Popa, Emily Hoffman and team for visiting Hudson Square Properties 555 Greenwich and 345 Hudson last month. We appreciate your hard work and dedication to help improve the future of New York City! Thank you to Tony Amis with Endurant Energy for arranging the visit. Members of DOB's Sustainability Bureau visited a newly constructed project at 555 Greenwich Street in the Hudson Square neighborhood of Manhattan to learn about how the building's geothermal heating and cooling systems are helping NYC make a clean energy transition. Site visits and public outreach are an important component of the agency's sustainability work, as New York City works to curtail harmful carbon emissions from our built environment.

The California Energy Commission has approved a $1.4B plan to bolster emission-free transportation in the state. The plan includes installation of ~17,000 new #EV charging stations and #hydrogen refueling infrastructure. The funding is part of California’s $48B #climate budget, which includes more than $10B for zero-emission vehicles and infrastructure. All these charging stations need #electricity, which is where #microgrids and Endurant Energy can help. If your team finds itself needing additional capacity to support an electrification plan, let's talk. More about the CEC's plan here: https://lnkd.in/dDj4XxFi

One of of the best things about my job Endurant Energy is showcasing operational projects and demonstrating the simplicity of #GSHP solutions, to people like Laura Popa and her Sustainability team at NYC Department of Buildings especially when they are connected to an #EnergyFoundation solution. The #AllElectric 555 Greenwich building has been operational for over a year now and is performing better than expected. #Sustainability #RenewableEnergy

It was an absolute pleasure to show another VIP, Council Member Erik Bottcher around the 555 Greenwich project, New York City’s first?All-Electric commercial Building, demonstrating sustainable and energy-efficient building practices. The 555 Greenwich Building features innovative #EnergyFoundations connected to rooftop heat pumps, that provide all heating and cooling for the building. This design significantly reduces environmental impact by achieving annual savings of: - 25% in electricity consumption - 800,000 gallons of water that would otherwise be used for cooling - 45% in CO2 emissions The building sets a new benchmark for sustainable urban development in New York, and showcases the potential of green building technologies to reduce our environmental footprint. Thanks to the support from Benjamin Rodney from Hines, and Norges Bank Investment Management and Trinity Church NYC #Sustainability #AllElectric #Renewable
