Not just a gathering of volunteers, but of compassionate leaders and friends. Tuesday night we enjoyed an evening of connection and celebration with our family of long-time volunteers! We couldn’t fulfill our mission without them. The smiles, laughter, and embraces you see in these photos are the same ones that greet our community members and donors at events throughout the year. March is Brain Injury Awareness Month! ???? We’re excited to team up with Rochester Regional Health to help protect young riders in our community. RRH’s Golisano Restorative Neuro & Rehab Center’s helmet drive is providing new skate and bike helmets to kids in need—because the best treatment for brain injury is prevention. Hosting free social events is just as important to our mission as providing individualized equipment sponsorships. These experiences fight against isolation and strengthen our community connectedness. Some great captures from our first free event of the year last weekend feature families, wheelchair rugby team members, and Board members exploring The Strong Museum and butterfly garden together. Find it with our Endless Highway community—a network of individuals of all ages and families that is welcoming, growing, and fun to gather! We are one week away from our first free social event of the year. Come out and join our community on Sunday, January 26 at 'Day of Play' at The Strong Museum. This free event includes catered lunch, admission to the museum and butterfly garden, tickets to ride the carousel and train, and validated parking. Check-in at 12pm and stay as long as you want! The Nolan family of Rochester, NY is the next feature project of Stairs2Chairs—an organization that coordinates modifications of residential or commercial spaces to improve accessibility and quality of life for individuals and communities. Stairs2Chairs is working towards a $10,000 fundraising goal, and every dollar helps! This project will fund the purchase and installation of a lift for the Nolan family's back deck. The lift will empower our young buddy Bennett to access the backyard safely and independently, and to make memories outside with his parents and brother!
