The prevalence of sarcopenic obesity varies among the various cancer types and diagnostic criteria but was reported to be 20% in a recent meta-analysis (1). Sarcopenic obesity has a distinguished effect on quality of life and survival, among others. Therefore, we strongly recommend that all patients with cancer, no matter their size, should undergo thorough nutritional assessment. Read more: https://lnkd.in/dqJkPGjZ
