At least 6,683 people experienced homelessness in Austin or Travis County on a single day in October 2023. Amelia, an Austin woman we recently helped, was one of those 6,683. After escaping an abusive relationship and facing the challenges of living with a disability, she desperately needed the comfort of a home—a safe place where she could truly rest and find peace. ??
