关于我们
Endeavors is a national service organization that serves our communities’ most vulnerable populations. Founded in 1969 to help unhoused and unsheltered San Antonians, our mission and our footprint have expanded over the decades. We are now the largest provider of veteran services in Texas and a leader in disaster recovery, homelessness prevention, wellness care, and disability-inclusive workforce advocacy. We are tackling homelessness, preventing veteran and first responder suicide, helping communities recover from hurricanes, and advocating for disability-inclusive workforces. Working in 47 states and 1 US territory, we use a comprehensive approach that meets every client where they are and engages local community organizations, governments, the private sector, and other partners. We are committed to providing a helping hand to restore dignity and improve the quality of life for every client, every time, in every community we serve. At least 6,683 people experienced homelessness in Austin or Travis County on a single day in October 2023. Amelia, an Austin woman we recently helped, was one of those 6,683. After escaping an abusive relationship and facing the challenges of living with a disability, she desperately needed the comfort of a home—a safe place where she could truly rest and find peace. ?? We're here to serve every Amelia we can -- and we don't plan on stopping anytime soon.
