In Honor of #VeteransDay, the Highland Park Hospital (HPH) Wellbeing Committee led a successful clothing drive benefitting the Midwest Veterans Closet in North Chicago. 25+ containers of warm weather clothes for local veterans and their families were delivered last week. Additionally, at HPH's Annual Veterans Day event, incoming staff were greeted with patriotic military songs, a WWII memorabilia display, as well as thank you cards written by local school children to our employees who have served or are serving in our US Armed Forces and to inpatient veterans. Red poppies, provided by the Illinois American Legion Auxiliary, were distributed to staff and patients by Anne Flaminio, Hania Fuschetto and Doug Haberkamp, Deerfield American Legion, Past 2nd Division Commander.
