One major criticism of traditional Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) is their lack of transparency—once the money is donated, it’s hard to track how much is being granted and to which organizations. DAF providers are incentivized to keep the assets under management since that’s how they take a fee. At Endaoment, we’re solving this issue by bringing all DAF data onchain, creating an immutable and transparent record of donations flowing in and grants flowing out. This transparency empowers donors (and really anyone with sufficient knowledge of how to read the blockchain) to see exactly where their contributions are going and how they’re making an impact. We believe that by leveraging this tech, we can transform DAFs into a more accountable and accessible tool for philanthropy. Transparency shouldn’t be a luxury—it should be a standard in philanthropy and beyond.
