EVAWI staff spent two days in September with multidisciplinary professionals from across Oklahoma at the 2024 Partners for Change Conference. We spoke to hundreds of advocates, law enforcement officers, prosecutors, and other allied professionals about how EVAWI’s programs can help improve responses to gender-based violence. We also led two conference sessions on Seek Then Speak, an innovative online tool created by EVAWI to help survivors of sexual assault access justice and services, and we are proud to share that multiple agencies throughout Oklahoma now offer Seek Then Speak to survivors as an alternative way to report sexual assault to the police. https://lnkd.in/gpu7_d6Q

关于我们
End Violence Against Women International (EVAWI) inspires and educates those who respond to gender-based violence, by equipping them with the knowledge and tools they need to support victims and hold perpetrators accountable. We promote victim-centered, multidisciplinary collaboration, which strengthens the response of the criminal justice system, other professionals, allies, and the general public — making communities safer. We Work to Achieve our Mission by: * Formulating policies and best practices to guide reforms * Hosting live and online training programs for professionals * Providing technical assistance and expert consultation * Developing and disseminating resource materials * Educating policymakers, media representatives, and the public * Conducting and translating research for practitioners * Promoting multidisciplinary collaboration * Partnering with organizations that share our vision What We Aim to Accomplish: Working with professionals inside and outside the criminal justice system, we seek to improve outcomes for victims and pursue accountability for their assailants. Our goal is to protect victims, prevent future attacks, and keep our communities safe. We envision a world where gender-based violence is unacceptable on every level – where victims receive the compassion, support and justice they deserve. When we create a system that helps victims not only to heal, but to thrive, they will transform our world with strength, hope, and joy.
