Women’s History Month is a time to recognize the incredible contributions women have made throughout history—and nowhere is this more important than in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math). From pioneers like Marie Curie and Katherine Johnson to today’s leaders in AI, medicine, and space exploration, women continue to shape the future through innovation and discovery. This month, EnCorps has been inviting people to share stories about A Woman in STEM Who Inspires You on social media. These stories have highlighted mothers, professors, mentors, and trailblazers who have left a lasting impact. EnCorps Inc. believes in STEM educational equity. We are a Los Angeles-based nonprofit with operation in California. We connect public school students in under-resourced communities with STEM professionals who are passionate about science, technology, engineering and math. EnCorps offers three key programs: 1. EnCorps STEM Teachers Program - The EnCorps STEM Teachers Program supports STEM professionals ready to explore a career-change to STEM Teaching as an innovative, long-term solution to the STEM teachers shortage. Placements are targeted to aid the nationwide lack of math and science proficiency in middle and high school students. 2. EnCorps STEMx Tutors Program - The EnCorps STEMx Tutors Program aims to increase middle school math proficiency and confidence in math by offering online tutoring by an EnCorps STEM expert. STEM professionals and college students have an opportunity to share their passion for math with middle school students who may not have equitable access to a high-quality STEM education. 3. EnCorps CTE Linked Learning Training Program - Our CTE training is designed to help school districts with the transition for new teachers to get from the board room to the classroom with ease.
