Deacon recently completed Lotus Court, a 64-unit supportive housing apartment building for the Low Income Housing Institute (LIHI) in Olympia, WA. Designed by Seattle-based Encore Architects, this 49,675 sf, five-story building features 40 studios and 24 one-bedroom affordable housing units, with ground-floor resident amenities, such as administrative offices and clinics. The development includes covered and surface parking for 26 vehicles, hidden behind a vibrant streetscape with lush landscaping and artwork. Construction also involved improvements to the City of Olympia's right-of-way, on-site stormwater management, and exterior landscaping. Lotus Court is the second phase of this development, standing adjacent to LIHI's Unity Commons, a 65-unit permanent supportive housing complex. The new YMCA Express at Marina Square Bremerton will occupy the stunning retail space on the 4th floor with panoramic waterfront views overlooking the boardwalk, Sinclair Inlet, and Bremerton Marina. Marina Square is the perfect location in downtown Bremerton for the YMCA, being just a block away from the ferry terminal and a short walk from Puget Sound Naval Shipyard (PSNS). Guests can conveniently enter the facility through Cary Bozeman Place, a waterfront public plaza nestled between our two towers celebrating Cary Bozeman's impact in rejuvenating the downtown and waterfront area. We're excited to announce that two of our projects, Siteline and The Pine, have been recognized as Award of Merit Winners at PCBC's Gold Nugget Awards. Both projects are finalists for the Grand Awards with the winners being announced June 19th! Siteline, a 214-unit mixed-use building located in the Uptown neighborhood of Seattle, is a finalist for Best Mixed-Use Project, and The Pine, a 140-unit multi-family building located between Forbes Creek and The Village at Totem Lake, is a finalist for Best Multi-Family Housing Community.
