?? Happy Thanksgiving! Our amazing Board of Directors brought the Thanksgiving spirit to the clients in our Recuperative Care program in Long Beach with a warm, delicious feast. ?? From turkey and mashed potatoes to festive desserts, it was more than a meal—it was a reminder of community, comfort, and belonging during a challenging time.?? Our clients also had the opportunity to write down what they are thankful for this year, and our amazing Day Habilitation Coordinator, Kathy, created a beautiful gratitude tree to display at the event. A huge thank you to DJ Robert for turning up the vibes! ?? The night ended with an impromptu dance party, full of laughter, joy, and celebration. ????? A heartfelt thank you to Fresh Beginnings Ministries (FBM) for their incredible generosity in donating 50 turkeys to our recently housed clients this Thanksgiving! Their incredibly generosity will ensure that families have not just a festive holiday meal but the comfort of knowing they have food security during the season. FBM’s commitment to serving the community is truly inspiring. Partnering with 29 organizations to support over 1,000 families is no small feat, especially in a time when food costs are rising for everyone. Your dedication reminds us of the power of community and the importance of coming together to care for one another - especially around the holidays. John’s journey began as a Nurse/Combat Medic in the US Army, where he provided essential medical care in challenging environments—a role that deepened his sense of duty, compassion, and resilience. After his honorable military service, John brought his expertise and dedication into the healthcare industry, taking on roles in both frontline care and administrative leadership. He now leads our Recuperative Care program, ensuring that each client receives the support needed to heal and thrive.
