Community is at the heart of everything we do. Our journey toward approval has been a team effort, supported by so many parents, caregivers, educators, and community members. We couldn’t have reached this milestone without their unwavering belief in us. A huge thank you to the Encompass team and our Board of Directors: Corey Hammonds, Jennifer H., Serena Sayles, M. Ed., Johanna Staubitz, Kendra Smith, and Thomas Rose for their hard work over the last year! We can’t wait to open our doors in August!

We’re excited to announce that Encompass Community School has been selected to join the NewSchools Innovative Public Schools portfolio! ?? We are thrilled to be part of a dynamic group of innovators reimagining education.

Words cannot express how grateful we are to be surrounded by an amazing and ever-growing community. Today, we came together to mark a milestone in our journey and celebrated afterward with great food at Monell’s and even better company. ??

Shoutout to the Encompass team!?We’re incredibly grateful for our dedicated community engagement team, made up entirely of parents! They work tirelessly to amplify the voices of parents and community members, while actively listening to their experiences and challenges.

COMMUNITY SCHOOL IN ACTION! A huge shoutout to all the incredible residents and community members who joined us for our September mobile food pantry! It's our favorite day of the month, and it's all about bringing the COMMUNITY together! A massive thank you to our amazing partners, Dream Streets, and One Gen Away, as well as to the Encompass team and volunteers who make everything run like clockwork! #communityschool?#wholechilddevelopment

Our team partnered with the Metropolitan Development and Housing Agency over the last two weeks and distributed 165 backpacks across 6 MDHA communities! We are so thankful for the families and community members of Cumberland View, Cheatham Place, John Henry Hale, Vine Hill, Levy, and Parkway Terrace! And lastly, thank you to MDHA's Family Self-Sufficiency Program and the other vendors! #communityschool #encompasscommunityschool
