Meet our client partner EmpowerK12 - this summer we collaborated with them to highlight Math Bright Spot Schools in Washington DC! DC Bright Spot schools had the highest math growth across the District of Columbia for the 2022-2023 school year in their grade bands, with a focus on schools that serve an average or high proportion of economically disadvantaged students, English learners, students of color, and students with disabilities. At these schools, students' math proficiency improved by an average of 23 percentage points across all performance levels on the state test last year. Thank you E.L. Today, DC Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE) released 2024 DC state test score results that demonstrated nominal gains in math and reading achievement.
