Kudos to Delta Air Lines for disability representation! How cool would it be if this extended beyond October?!...
I was so excited to board a flight and see THIS! Today's your last chance to view Delta Air Lines' in-flight entertainment options for National Disability Employment Awareness Month. Check out the Best of Men (second photo) to learn the backstory of the Paralympics. Check out Feeling Through for an 18min short depicting the 1st film to star a DeafBlind actor. #disabilityawareness #disabilityawarenessmonth [ID: first photo shows a monitor from the back of an airplane seat that reads, "Disability Awareness," followed by a variety of films; second photo shows a target in black and white with arrows sticking out over the words, "In 1952 the Stoke Mandeville Games became international."]

I Can and I Do envisions a world where people living with disabilities are valued for the talents they bring into this world.
This video caught my attention because it highlights what I'm passionate about -- increasing belonging for people living with disabilities and their families. Well done, The Arc of the Farmington Valley, Inc. "Favarh"! #disabilityinclusion https://lnkd.in/e6AF_sFT

These three quotes come from a piece published today by Forbes that beautifully captures why we care about accessibility. (Find a link to the article in the comments.) The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) set the standard for how we measure accessibility within businesses. This Disability Pride Month, we celebrate more customers with disabilities able to access places of public accommodation (e.g.; restaurants, medical offices) than they could 34 years ago when the ADA was passed. We look ahead to accessibility becoming the actual, experienced standard in our communities. #disabilityrights #ada #americanswithdisabilitiesact #accessibility

As professionals, summer's changing routines can wreak havoc on the stability established during the school year. But summer also brings more flexible schedules, enabling our families to access support unavailable during the school year. With that in mind, we found the best therapeutic providers in the greater New Haven area and we're bringing them right to you. Sign up for the marketplace via the link in the comments to start searching. #therapy #getsupport #empoweredtogether [ID: image that reads, "This summer find your support. 30 new therapeutic businesses listed including O/T, P/T, SLP, counseling, ABA, clinical mental healthcare, & feeding"]

? What's Accessible? ?? Today we're measuring the side wall grab bar in a bathroom. ? This one is a-ok -- the top of the grab bar meets the ADA standard height of 33"-36" above the floor. ?? Here's why this video began on TikTok. We're connecting there with business owners?who want to learn about ADA standards so their businesses can be accessible. ?? #accessibility #accessibilitymatters #empoweredtogether [ID: white woman with brown and?gray hair pulled back wears an olive colored shirt then camera flips to tape measure extended from floor to top of grab bar]
