Today we’re shining the spotlight on Chuck Zillner, Schuff Steel’s General Superintendent. Having been in the steel industry for over 3 decades, Chuck has dedicated 14 of those years to serving at Schuff. As a dynamic and foundational part of our team, Chuck: ?? Provides pre-construction services, including planning & coordination of project activities before construction begins ?? Plans crane logistics on Schuff’s construction sites ?? Develops sequence planning to ensure the most efficient execution of project tasks ?? Prepares load listings ?? Oversees ALL Schuff projects to ensure adherence to quality, safety and schedule ?? Supervises Area Superintendents, Project Superintendents and General Foremen Having worked most recently on the Intuit Dome project, Chuck relishes the sense of accomplishment he feels with every project, when he sees an empty lot go to a finished structure. The biggest win of his career is still in progress. Currently, Schuff’s field operations have worked over 1 million hours and 12 consecutive months without a lost time or recordable injury and are on track to finish out the calendar year of 2024 with no accidents or recordables. Chuck’s advice to those just starting out in the steel industry? ?? “Hard work and a positive attitude will lead you to success.” In his spare time, Chuck enjoys hunting, fishing and classic cars.
