Meet Andrew Gastwirth, one of the founders of our firm! Andrew is a native Michigander from Metro Detroit, and thus very excited at this year’s prospects of rising above a lifetime of torture as a die-hard Lion’s fan. When he’s not working, or trying to get you to ask “what’s a hennway”, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids – often attempting to form a family band and preparing his son to cope with typical Lions disappointment (picture from last year’s NFC championship game). A piano player since age 4 with no vocal talent, you’ll often see Andrew chasing down his favorite classic rock icons and jam band enthusiasts at the loudest of venues.?On rare occasion, his wife humors him by grueling out a three-hour Phish show.

Meet another new member of the team at Empierus: Noah McCown! Noah grew up near South Bend, Indiana and recently moved to Chicago after graduating from Indiana University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. As a kid, he loved sports. His favorites were football and golf. He was fortunate to have his dad as a football coach. Noah also loves pets and will never miss an opportunity to spend time with his 2 dogs, Mordie & Rigby, and cat, Eddie, when he visits his family in Indiana. One of Noah’s best memories is studying abroad in Europe for 4 months in 2023, which was his first time ever leaving the U.S. He explored Ireland, France, Italy, Spain, Croatia, the Netherlands, and Scotland.? During this experience, he gained a new perspective on embracing uncertainties and met some lifelong friends.

Meet one of the newest members of the Empierus team: Peter Tomei! Peter grew up in New Rochelle, NY and now lives in Chicago.?He recently graduated from the University of Notre Dame where he studied Economics, Pre-Health, and Digital Marketing. ? Growing up, Peter spent a lot of time vacationing with his family in Vermont, which is still his favorite place to be. ?In the free time Peter has today, he enjoys exploring Chicago with friends, watching various sports, and getting out in nature by hiking on whatever trails he can find. ? Peter's most memorable vacation was a three-week camping road trip he recently took with college friends after graduation.?On the trip, they visited several national parks in the northwest United States.
