Hello Linkedin Network: I recently took a trip to Vietnam that made me want to raise awareness for a school for the poor in Hue, my parents' hometown. I'm raising funds through GoFundMe to help these poor kids have a future! It was the old capital of Vietnam, a majestic place that is a goldmine of tombs, pagodas, castles, and ruins. We still have a house on my father’s side in the center of Hue that is used as a temple to honor my ancestors: we call it a compound since it is an old French Colonial home filled with pictures, altars, and offerings of our late ancestors, as opposed to an actual home. Since we live in the United States away from the compound, and in order to upkeep the house, we have Buddhist monks take care of the property by visiting it to make sure it is safe from intruders. The main monk who visits the compound is named "Su". We wanted to make sure we honored Su’s care for my father’s compound by supporting a school she recently opened called MN Lam T? Ni We recently discovered that my mother shares a birthday with Su on October 8. So from this year forward, we committed to supporting the school by raising money. And on October 8 of each year, we will send the funds; This date honors my father, my mother, and Su all in one gesture. We would love your help in donating any sum of money to support this school that honors my family, and invests in the future of these underprivileged kids.
