关于我们
Since its inception, Emotive Architecture has been creating some of the most aesthetically functional structures in the greater Washington D.C. Region. Across all projects, we design with humans and goals in mind. Our team works in land-use entitlement to showcase our commitment to the urban arena. The result is a well-executed building connecting to the city’s fabric and intended mission. We partner on every aspect of the project. Integrated design and management ensure a seamless process for delivering projects on time and within budget. From land-use entitlement to bidding documents, we are your ally in navigating the complicated strategic process required to attain a successful completion. While architectural design is our business, communication is our distinction. We proudly curate a relationship with each client focused on measurable goals.

?????????????????????? ???? ?????????? ???? ???????? ????????????????????! ????? This past Saturday, February 8, 2025, ???????? ???????????????????? hosted the DESIGN IN COLOR PARTI, marking a decade of impact, advocacy, and community-building. Emotive Architecture’s own Thomas Brokaw, had the honor of serving as Master of Ceremonies, guiding an evening dedicated to celebrating the transformative work of minority designers in shaping our built environment. The event highlighted NOMA's mission of fostering diversity, inclusion, and equity in architecture and design, while also serving as a fundraiser to support emerging designers and inclusive design initiatives. As we look ahead, we celebrate not only the achievements of the past decade but also the future contributions that will continue to shape our industry. Congratulations, NOMA PGH on this milestone! Here’s to many more years of impact and innovation! ?????? #NOMAPittsburgh #DesignInColor #DiversityInDesign #10YearAnniversary #ArchitectureForAll #FAMU

???????????????????? ?????????????????????? ???????????????????????? ???????? ????????????????????????. Recently, we had the pleasure of hosting the teams from Redbrick LMD and NFP, an Aon company on a site visit to witness the installation of HEMPSULATION at one of our exciting projects. It was inspiring to see firsthand how seamlessly this eco-friendly material is being integrated into the building process. Hempsulation offers numerous advantages, including: ?????????????????????????????? ????????????????: Made from a renewable resource, hemp is a sustainable choice for a healthier planet. ???????? ???? ??????????????: Requiring no special protective gear and emitting no VOCs, hemp creates a safer and more comfortable work environment. We are proud to be utilizing this innovative product to create healthier, more sustainable buildings for our clients. #SustainableConstruction #GreenBuilding #HempInsulation #EcoFriendly #HealthyHomes #DCrealestate #DCarchitecture Thanks Delicia Gunn, Brian L. ??????????????, ?????? ?????? ???????????????????????? ???????? ???? ???? ?????????????? ??????! We're proud to have contributed to the replacement of a roof at one of DC Metropolitan Police Department's stations. This project was a small but meaningful way to improve the working conditions of our city's brave officers. Working on this project offered us a unique perspective on the tireless work our first responders do for our community. We're grateful for the opportunity to express our appreciation through this project. A big thank you to the dedicated teams at DC Department of General Services DGS (Marina Khodiaveh, PMP, LEED AP, MS, Agyei Hargrove, Jessica Lugg, MBA) and Konstructure (Kevin Mohammed, James Jones) for their hard work and commitment to this successful project. #publicservice #community #firstresponders #grateful #teamwork #dcarchitecture

Architectural Detailing: Balancing Design and Cost-Effectiveness Creating a good detail involves balancing design intent with the necessary components to provide a cost-effective solution for our clients. Cost-effectiveness isn't just about material choice; it's also about the complexity of assembly. For instance, when we developed the detail below, we focused on materials that were readily available, durable, and required minimal pieces for assembly. This sketch wasn't our first attempt—it was an iterative process. We continually asked ourselves, "Is there a better way to achieve this detail?" until we arrived at a simple, effective solution. This level of refinement is only possible with a deep understanding of various materials and their capabilities. At Emotive Architecture, we are constantly learning about materials and are unafraid to push our understanding to ultimately provide the simplest solutions that add value. #architecture #design #detailing #costeffective #innovation #emotivearchitecture #solutions
