It was a great Friday and Saturday to be able to attend the Human Intelligence Movement's Summit. Special thanks to Travis Allen and Michelle Ament, EdD for starting and leading this movement. As Travis says it just takes one person to start and others will follow! Got to hear from many great student speakers where they emphasized the importance of embedding student voice as well as having mixed assessments that focus on curriculum standard as well as HI competencies. It was also great to see many friends such as Gregory Bagby, Kunal Dalal, Alana Winnick, Mike Lawrence, Dr. Rachelle Dené Poth and many others! During the HI Summit I also got to meet Merissa Sadler-Holder and Phillip Alcock for the first time after following both of their work on Linkedin for a while. Special thank you to Brooke Morehead for her collaboration and willingness to try Factors Education as a feedback tool for the event. I am looking forward to see how the HI Movement will continue to change and shape the way we see education.

This is a perfect example of why our traditional system is outdated for the #Ai world! Our work is to reinvent what learning looks like for our schools for today. We must be much more focused on the goal of building Human Intelligence than meeting the goal of higher test scores. #hi4ai Human Intelligence Movement
One last moring post. In U.S. education, test scores aren't a goal, scores are THE goal. Here's the unfolding crisis. Kids spend 12-16 school years being trained to carry out assignments -- exactly what AI excels at, for free, in 12 seconds. We crush out our kids' passion, dreams, creativity, curiosity, agency, and purpose, toward the goal of turning them into inferior versions of ChatGPT. Just look at data from 18 months ago. Soon, these LLM's will be in the top 1% on the education metrics we use to drive classroom priorities.
