On December 12, we wrapped up our end-of-year Capstone Event, where scholars took on a project that even experienced professionals would find challenging: designing a brand-new terminal at JFK airport! From planning airlines to marketing strategies, environmental sustainability, and concessions, our scholars had to consider every detail of what it takes to bring a terminal to life.
Scholars worked in groups across multiple schools, spending weeks researching, planning, and preparing their presentations. Throughout the process, scholars even had the chance to work with professionals who have had real-world experience building airport terminals around the world! Then, on December 12, scholars presented their final projects to a panel of judges at the JP Morgan Asset Management offices. This was a moment that really tested their public speaking and teamwork skills under real world pressure.
This year’s Capstone theme was “Together we can, whatever it takes” and our scholars embraced the challenge with creativity and determination. A huge congratulations to all the scholars who participated- you continue to amaze us!
