Our Placer Ranch 1B project for Taylor Builders, LLC involves a massive active treatment system including 18 storage tanks and a 6.2 million gallon pretreatment and holding basin. Since November we’ve discharged over 11 million gallons of stormwater off site with an average turbidity of just 2.4 NTUs. Arctos Erosion has been expertly staffing this project for us and Aqua Poppy has provided the necessary equipment. This collaboration of technology and manpower has been incredibly successful and keeps our clients dry and compliant through the winter months.

Yesterday we donated our space to California Waterfowl Association to build 150 boxes for their Wood Duck Program. Wood ducks prefer to nest in trees, but have had to adapt to a changing habitat. Conservation efforts help stabilize their population and these wood boxes have provided safe alternatives for nesting. CWA is currently celebrating a milestone of 1 million wood ducklings being hatched out of the program. Congratulations, we love to see it! ??

The rainy season has kept us busy at the Joiner Ranch Residential Development Project. In February alone we’ve discharged nearly two million gallons of stormwater back into the environment. All discharge has been within regulatory limits with an average turbidity of just 5.2 NTUs. We’ve put our trust in Aqua Poppy who has the technology and resources to keep both the site and surrounding environment clean and healthy.

At Emerald we pride ourselves on our incredibly knowledgeable and hardworking team. It’s their expertise that makes us the best at what we do and allow us to take on unique projects. Our trusted foreman Ruben, a team member of 13 years, and our project manager Austin scope out and prepare a section of wetland for what will become the Pacific Flyway Center. Our team is providing erosion control to preserve the natural area while it is developed for educational purposes.

To date we have discharged nearly 3 million gallons of clean water back into the Markham Ravine Watershed from the Joiner Ranch Residential Development Project. With the help of Aqua Poppy ATS we’ve ensured that discharge rates have never exceeded a turbidity of 10 NTU. We’ve been working alongside Arctos Erosion Control whose excellent staff have navigated the systems required to do this job with precision and expertise.
