? What are you grateful for? ? Gratitude is one of our core principles at Emerald One, and we practice it daily in our meetings and conversations. This practice helps us come together as teammates and look for the good in our days rather than focusing on the obstacles. In this season of gratitude, we’d love to hear from you. We invite you to share what you’re grateful for: https://bit.ly/4eGV2RX. You might just inspire someone else! Giving and receiving feedback can be challenging.?Our Creative Director Fernando Medrano recently shared some of his top tips for breaking down the stigma surrounding feedback and using your colleagues’ input to become a better teammate and leader.? Ready to embark on your own feedback journey? Visit our website to learn more: https://bit.ly/3NL56hZ
How do you react when someone says, “I’d like to give you some feedback”? Over the past 15 years as a creative leader, feedback has been instrumental in honing my craft. It is necessary and expected. However, outside of the creative bubble, giving and receiving feedback has been more challenging to navigate. Over the past several months, I embarked on a journey to break down the stigma around feedback for myself and the teams I work with. With the help and support of my colleagues at Emerald One, I’ve not only grown as a leader in the creative space but also honed my skills as a presenter, speaker, writer, and strategist. Most importantly, this journey has made me a stronger mentor and teammate. Feedback does not equal failure, nor is it criticism. It's an opportunity for continuous growth and improvement. Use the L.U.V. (Listen, Understand, and Value) approach to reframes feedback for you and your teams. The results are truly satisfying. See the link below for some tips. https://bit.ly/3NL56hZ Over the next few days, I’ll be sharing more tools that helped me along my journey. #OpenToFeedback #Growth

Thoughtful design creates meaningful connections with your audience and builds trust. As a leader, that process starts with you. Are you setting your design team up for success? Follow these steps to maximize their potential. #design #innovation #creativity #strategicdesign Slide 1 It’s not them. It might be you. Maximizing your design team’s potential has more to do with you than it does with them. Slide 2 Share Context and Goals Early Bring your design team in at the onset of a project, not just during the design phase. Allowing them to fully understand the problem and desired outcome helps them contribute insights on feasibility and potential design solutions. Slide 3 Provide Examples Designers are inherently visual thinkers. Sharing examples from similar products that align with your vision provides a clear and tangible reference, making it easier to communicate your intent and expectations. Slide 4 Commit to the Timeline Effective design solutions take place within a structured creative process. Delays or disruptions lead to rushed execution and compressed feedback loops, impacting quality. Ensure content and assets are ready for your design team. Provide timely feedback. Slide 5 Provide Clear Direction Vague phrases like “it needs to pop” or “make it pretty” are not effective. Describe the changes you want to see in specific terms, like “draw attention to this section.” Slide 6 Trust your Design Team Focus on the desired outcome, not the small, tactical details. Give your design team the space needed to solve the problem. Be open to different points of view and new ideas.
