As a part of National Apprenticeship Week, Dynalectric Oregon, an EMCOR company, is highlighting their apprentice Sam. He joined the apprenticeship for stability, healthcare for his family, and competitive pay. "It's demanding, physically and of your time and energy," Sam shared, "but it keeps you centered on the reason why you do it." One of Sam’s biggest takeaways from the program is the importance of understanding the underlying reasons for specific procedures. “There’s always a method to the madness,” he said. By learning the "why" behind the "how," he continuously becomes a more skilled and knowledgeable electrician. Sam is excited about the diverse opportunities that lie ahead in his electrical career. “One week I could be working on a high rise, the next on a data center.
