Ember Robotics (YC S24) makes camera diagnostics tools for robotics, so companies can reduce vision failures from the source. Cameras are critical sensors for modern robots, covering everything from perception to customer data acquisition. But understanding how and when they fail in a maze of software, hardware, and firmware is incredibly time-consuming. Rather than building core product features, robotics engineers consistently waste precious hours debugging basic reliability and data quality issues. Founders Shivani Mouleeswaran and Ritika Shrivastava met working end-to-end on the camera software stack at Tesla Autopilot and are leveraging their industry experience to build the tools they wish they always had. Ember provides an out-of-the-box camera diagnostics framework that ties in real-time data, logs, and reports to provide context on a robot's vision health. Rather than spending years and thousands of dollars building up fault-tracking frameworks in-house, teams can now access out-of-the-box tooling to support shorter failure triage times and ensure reliable vision data for autonomy.
