Since Spring 2024, Halmstad and Pristina have been directly connected by twice-weekly flights, and we’re pleased to see how well this route has been received. Today, the Swedish tour operator Pathfinder Travels presented its first hiking trip to Kosovo (below in Swedish). You may recall that they were here in June 2024 for an exploration visit, upon the invitation of the Embassy. The hike is being organised in cooperation with Ms. Uta Ibrahimi. ?? A sunny summer day in May, the Swedish Embassy in Pristina launched a "Pop-Up Embassy" in the charming cultural city of Prizren. ???? ???? Together with representatives from Auto Mita, Lindex Kosova, Nordic Chamber of Commerce in Prishtina, Sigma Technology Insight Solutions AB, and representatives from our esteemed development partners, Oldtimer Prizren, and the Municipality of Prizren, we celebrated the strong bilateral relations between Kosovo and Sweden, as well as the broad and diverse Swedish presence in the country, ranging from trade promotion to aid work. ??????? Throughout the day, citizens of Prizren had the opportunity to engage with various Swedish partners who showcased their efforts in the country and discussed opportunities for collaboration with Sweden. Highlights included a pop-up store from Lindex, the chance to meet our supported development projects, musical performances, an impressive display of two Volvo cars, and a guided tour of cultural heritage site in Prizren that have been restored with support from the Embassy's aid partner, Cultural Heritage Without Borders. ?? All of this was enjoyed with freshly baked cinnamon buns. ???? We extend our gratitude to our partners and especially to the Mayor and the city of Prizren for hosting us.
