Been away from LinkedIn for a bit while we have been finishing the EMA Foundation's 2024 impact report which we are excited to share VERY SOON... but wanted to celebrate time spent in Chicago this week with Dave Feiferis, Jalen Walker, and Olivia Reibel from our team, which was pretty special as we are a fully remote org and this was the first time I got to see Jalen and Olivia in person after two years of working together. We also attended a birthday party for the incomparable Maggie Lower ????? thrown by Rachael LeClear, where we celebrated the incredible year they have had as Board Chair and ED of our partner SafePlace International...and then headed for LA to connect with Joanne Parsont, Erika Cao, and Tracy Tran of our crew to support BYkids and their phenomenal founder and ED Holly Carter at a screening of the powerful film "Against the Current" and a preview of one of next year's BYKids films... There are so many moments when I have to pinch myself to make sure that I'm not dreaming and this is actually what I get to do for "work" -- hang out with NGO partners who are running towards the biggest problems to see how we can support them and to work alongside the best team who work ceaselessly to develop our model of care-based philanthropy and spread the good news about the work of our network of 10 partners.
