Every year I visit El Sol Academy of Arts in Los Angeles. Well, this time El Sol visited The Netherlands. It has been an amazing week. Jenny Zavala, director of curriculum and instruction visited several schools, talked to teachers and principals about the importance and benefits of bilingual education and gave a lecture on GLAD strategies. (Guided Language Acquisition Design). Once again it was made perfectly clear that bilingual education is so much more than just language teaching. A big thank you to Jenny and everybody who took the time to welcome us. It's such a privilege to work with creative thinkers from the UCI School of Education like Mark Warschauer and Daniel Robert Ritchie.
