Meet Victor- one of our Faces of Club 36 Through our supported employment programs, Victor demonstrated his incredible passion and knowledge of animals, which became the foundation for his role as a Guest Services Associate at the Palm Beach Zoo. During his interview, he impressed the team by naming every single animal in the facility, showcasing his special interest and expertise. His deep knowledge about animals not only helped him secure the position but also inspired his work. As part of his responsibilities, Victor conducts visibility checks with the animals, serving as both a key job task and a positive reinforcement for his work. His dedication and ability to turn his passion into a professional opportunity exemplify the power of aligning interests with employment. In September of 2024, Victor celebrated his three-year work anniversary at the zoo. Help us continue providing programs and services to clients like Victor by becoming a monthly donor with Club 36. The Sea of Possibilities (SOP) social enterprise at Els for Autism empowers autistic adults through vocational training, employment, and community inclusion opportunities. The program supports our Adult Day Training (ADT) clients, employs autistic individuals, and is supported by dedicated volunteers. Our ADT clients poured their hearts out into creating the festive, St. Patrick's Day-inspired ring dishes for an annual fundraising event. Here's to spreading a little luck and a lot of joy this St. Patrick's Day! #ElsForAutism #Autism #SeaOfPossibilities #AdultDayTraining #AutismProgram

??? New Featured Artist Alert! ??? Each quarter, Els for Autism proudly showcases the incredible talents of artists with autism and other developmental disabilities in our O’Donnell Family Pavilion. These exhibitions provide a platform for creativity to shine and inspire the community! We’re thrilled to introduce our newest featured artist, Cooper Baumgart! Meet Anthony- one of our Faces of Club 36 Anthony joined us at 3 years old, facing significant behavioral challenges that impacted his safety and ability to connect with others. Through nearly four years in our Early Intensive Behavioral Intervention program, speech and language therapy, and occupational therapy, his bright and thoughtful personality began to shine, and he made remarkable progress. Now 7 years old, Anthony attends a general education classroom and continues to grow with ongoing therapies. At camp, he thrives in both community and campus settings, overcoming challenges with peer interactions and transitions through evidence-based strategies and support. These experiences have helped him grow in independence, try new activities, and build meaningful friendships. Help us continue providing programs and services to clients like Anthony by becoming a monthly donor with Club 36. A recent study by the Children's Services Council of Palm Beach County found that Palm Beach County has the highest rate of drownings involving children with autism in the state. Our future Aquatics Center will provide a safe space for individuals with autism to learn essential water safety and drowning prevention skills. The addition of our Splash Pad will offer a fun and engaging way for those who cannot or prefer not to swim to enjoy water play. Take a look at what’s coming to our campus! Help us make a splash by clicking the link to donate or learn more https://ow.ly/XI0P50V6SCu *Please note that these images are renderings and are not exact representations of the complex. #ElsForAutism #Autism #RecreationComplex #AutismFriendly #CapitalCampaign #JupiterFL #ElsCenterOfExcellence
