For the third consecutive year, the El Paso Fire Department (EPFD) is proud to partner with the United States Marine Corps to support the annual Toys for Tots Campaign, dedicated to bringing joy and holiday spirit to children in need. Community members are encouraged to contribute to this worthy cause by donating new, unwrapped toys at any EPFD station across the city through December 13. The Toys for Tots Campaign, led by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, aims to deliver a message of hope to economically disadvantaged children by providing toys that inspire and uplift them. EPFD is honored to collaborate in collecting these toys, helping to ensure that every child in the El Paso area experiences the magic of the holiday season. “Joining forces with the U.S. Marine Corps for the Toys for Tots Campaign is a meaningful tradition for the El Paso Fire Department,” said Fire Chief Jonathan Killings. “We invite our community to make this season special for local children by donating toys at our fire stations. Each toy brings us closer to ensuring every child has a reason to smile this holiday.” Toy donations can be made at any EPFD station throughout El Paso. The U.S. Marine Corps will collect the donated items and distribute them to children within the local community in time for the holidays.
关于我们
The El Paso Fire Department is a full-service fire department. We respond to all calls involving fires, medical emergencies, and hazardous materials events in the City of El Paso. Specialized teams respond to water, mountain, and technical rescues. The Department also responds to many other types of emergency events and provides aid to Fort Bliss Military Base and the County of El Paso under the terms of the Mutual Aid Agreements. The Fire Department responds to over 70,000 emergency calls annually. The Fire Department utilizes resources from the community to limit the number and types of emergencies that occur. The inspectors of the Fire Prevention Division help ensure that the building and fire codes are followed. All businesses are inspected for fire hazards annually. If inspectors find any, the owner or occupant is required to fix them and bring them up to the requirements of the code. Investigators help ensure that suspicious fires are thoroughly investigated, and people that commit these types of fires are brought to justice. The Public Education unit trains citizens and children in fire safety and how to use fire extinguishers. These are some of the ways that your Fire Department helps keep the city a safe place to live. The Fire Department is rated an ISO Class 1 department showing the dedication, training, equipment, and progress we have made to ensure the citizens of El Paso have the best department possible. The Department provides Paramedic and Ambulance service to the community. A Medical Director oversees the operation of the division and ensures a high-degree of emergency medical service is delivered.

This morning, members of the El Paso Fire Department supported Levi Rebel Morales and his family as he rang the bell to signal the end of his cancer treatment officially! Rebel was diagnosed at the age of 2. During treatment, Rebel watched firetrucks drive by the El Paso Children’s Hospital and asked his mom to one day be able to visit a fire station. When he was well enough, Rebel’s family took him to visit Fire Station 5 on 9/1/23. Exactly one year later, he had his final chemotreatment. Rebel asked to celebrate this momentous occasion with the El Paso Fire Department! Congratulations Rebel! Today, you are our hero!
