We believe small businesses and new entrepreneurs are always at the center of innovation. LA has the chance to do something really incredible for new businesses which will rebuild the affected areas stronger than ever over the next few years. “..something desperately needs to change in the small business arena, particularly for California,” said Lee. “My prediction is if things are not changed in a very, very short period of time,... you’re gonna start seeing a lot more chains rather than new, fresh, mom-and-pop and small business ideas come to fruition. Because it’s just impossible to navigate and too expensive to start.” Thank you Glossy and Emily Jensen https://lnkd.in/eEQdDfN9

ELOREA, a (Noteworthies)?winner last year, has launched a new collection that celebrates Korea’s rich fashion, architecture, customs, and cuisine. The Timeless Legacy Collection captures the country’s heritage and traditions in scents like Hanok, a symphony of florals and woods, and Jang, a smoky fragrance reminiscent of whiskey. “Elorea makes such beautiful scents. I was excited to try this new collection. My favorites are Git, a peony and lotus forward floral, and Hanok, a fresh, piney scent that dries down into a beautiful woody finish."- Danielle James, ELLE Beauty Director. https://lnkd.in/e_drEwRY

What fragrance brands are you excited about? "ELOREA. They’re a Korean American brand, and their collections are based on Korean heritage. They just released a new collection (Timeless Legacy), and I feel it’s the most heritage-facing one. I don’t think anyone has smelled anything like them." - Sable Yong https://lnkd.in/e6w2r3BC Beauty Independent Written by: Taylor Bryant

The Zoe Report asked a collective of?Asian American Pacific Islander?fragrance brand founders for their definition of home, and how they funneled those complex and often conflicting interpretations into scent form. "My mom was an amazing cook and Korean cooking revolves around jangs and fermentation, so our kitchen was always filled with unique smells — kimchi, fermented soybeans, soy sauce, you name it. These scents are etched into my memory as the essence of home. To me, home meant a satisfied belly and the comforting feeling of being cared for." https://lnkd.in/e7yRq45u
