It’s so cool that mushrooms were picked for the featured veggie and the support of local establishments has been amazing! Farmer Champion Week is a week-long celebration of local sourcing in Georgia, where participating restaurants, bakeries, and butcheries feature dishes made with local ingredients. The campaign was launched in 2019 by Georgia Organics to promote sustainable and organic purchasing from Georgia producers. Georgia Organics’ Farmer Champion campaign highlights and celebrates members of the food service community who source from Georgia producers and re-invest in our local food economy, day in and day out.
