As you try to adapt to AI shifts, some governments are making one major mistake ?? They’re bringing in external consultants. In an Op-Ed in The National News, Yasar Jarrar, PhD, Managing Director of GOV CAMPUS, and our Executive Director, Luigi A. Pecoraro, Ed. D. discuss how critical it is for governments to build innovative internal , rather than outsourcing AI expertise. Many governments have leaned on external consultants, with the GCC alone spending more than $6 billion on consulting in 2023. This over-reliance has several drawbacks. Primarily, governments can struggle to react to new challenges independently. While consultants bring value, a government’s internal team must be equipped with the skills and knowledge to thrive in change. Doing so:? -Ensures decisions are informed by a deep understanding of local contexts and long-term implicants? -Fosters a culture of continuous learning? -Reduces long-term costs, which could help train public servants Read the full article in The National News:?https://lnkd.in/gWiCtfCh Upskilling your workforce starts with executive education. What happens when AI tries to help you build a table? That's a question The Home Depot and Lowe's Companies, Inc. are grappling with as they launch new #generativeAI assistants on their websites, designed to help consumers. Dr. Anastasiya Ghosh, Associate Dean of Partnerships and a marketing professor at University of Arizona, Eller College of Management, was recently featured in Marketplace by APM about the opportunities and pitfalls of chatbots. They can provide more interactive experiences for consumers. They can also give organizations greater insights into how consumers make buying decisions. But they're prone to hallucinations, and bad advice can sour our experience with a chatbot — or even a brand. AI-powered chatbots are an everyday opportunity for consumers to encounter AI, but how can you ensure that they not only improve operational efficiency but also have a positive effect on your brand???That is why we launched the Generative AI Leadership Accelerator (GALA). Link to the full article in the comments, but first... ???? It’s becoming more and more clear: AI can absolutely take certain jobs if you’re not prepared. The key to staying relevant in the age of AI isn’t resisting it—it’s learning how to harness it. AI can augment your capabilities, making you more efficient, creative, and valuable. The question isn’t whether AI will change jobs—it already is. New roles like prompt engineers didn’t exist five years ago, and more will emerge. But you don’t have to be a programmer to benefit from AI. The real advantage goes to those who adapt and integrate AI into their work. Whether that means refining your ability to generate better prompts, automating routine tasks, or leveraging AI for deeper insights, the future belongs to those who learn how to work with AI, not against it. ?? How are you using AI to augment your skills? ?? What new AI-driven roles do you see emerging in your industry? The secret to successful leadership? Constant learning. Our executive director, Luigi A. Pecoraro, Ed. D., put that into practice last week when he joined the HR Executive Roundtables, presented by AzHREF - Arizona Human Resource Executive Forum, with fellow leaders Nate Jack (Gibson), Laurie Battaglia (Aligned At Work), and Erin Im (Friends of the Children - Phoenix). They covered topics ranging from how to enhance the employee experience (crucial to culture and your bottom line), the state of DEI, and how data intersects with training. Leadership is never static, especially in the face of societal change and rapidly changing tech. Creating an engaged, motivated, skilled workforce requires continuous collaboration to ensure we're leading successfully — and giving rising leaders the tools they need to grow. Thank you to Joan (Joni) Hibdon for letting us share your photos! What questions about HR, employee engagement, and leadership do you have? Let us know in the comments. ?? #azhref #ExecutiveEducation #leadership #hrexecutives #arizona

Are you ready to have AIs as coworkers? AI is already reshaping the way we work—but the real question is: How do we define the appropriate roles for AI and human team members? Each industry will need a tailored approach. What works in a highly regulated environment will look very different from retail or tech. Leaders will need to make critical decisions about who has agency in AI-driven collaboration, how AI integrates into teams, and what boundaries should exist between human expertise and AI-powered efficiency. The key isn’t just adopting AI tools—it’s understanding how to experiment, refine, and set clear rules for AI’s role in hiring, decision-making, and operations. ?? How is your industry approaching AI in leadership and team dynamics? ?? What challenges or opportunities do you see emerging? Listen in on this clip from a recent AI webinar hosted by Dr. Gondy Leroy. And if you want to hear more, you can check it out here -> https://hubs.ly/Q038_S2-0 Drop your thoughts in the comments—let us hear your perspective! #Leadership #AI #FutureOfWork #TeamDynamics #Innovation #ArtificialIntelligence

According to a recent report by McKinsey, employees are 3x more likely to be using AI than their leadership expects. Employees are more ready for AI than their leadership is. How can you get your leadership ready? “Employees will be the ones to make their organizations AI powerhouses. They are more ready to embrace AI in the workplace than business leaders imagine. They are more familiar with AI tools, they want more support and training, and they are more likely to believe AI will replace at least a third of their work in the near future. Now it’s imperative that leaders step up. They have more permission space than they realize, so it’s on them to be bold and capture the value of AI. Now.” McKinsey Report “Superagency in the workplace: Empowering people to unlock AI’s full potential” Read it here -> https://hubs.ly/Q037KVJS0 @Dr. Gondy Leroy says if you’re not using it, you’re going to get behind. @Dr. Joe Carella says if your employees aren’t using it at work, they are taking your data home and using it on their personal computers, creating a data security risk. Ultimately, it’s teams that will deliver on the promise of AI. That’s why Eller Executive Education faculty have created a unique AI accelerator for teams. There is nothing else like it. If your leadership is ready to step up, come launch an AI initiative with us. https://hubs.ly/Q037KN480 #executiveeducation #artificialintelligence #genAI #leadership
