We’re incredibly proud to announce our partnership with Smart Works Reading, supporting their mission to empower unemployed women with the?clothing, coaching, and confidence they need to step into new careers and change their futures??? To celebrate?#InternationalWomensDay, we hosted a clothing donation drive at the Barns and some of our team rolled up their sleeves to volunteer at the?Reading?branch – spending some time sorting and organising donations ready for the next Smart Works fashion sale! This partnership holds a deep place in our hearts at?Ella’s, in loving memory of our?inspirational MD, Catherine Empringham. Cath was a fierce advocate for supporting women in the workplace, and we are committed to carrying forward her legacy - creating?opportunities, championing inclusivity, and making workplaces more empowering for women everywhere??? #EmpowerWomen #SmartWorks #IWD2025 #WomenSupportingWomen

We hosted our very own quiz night at the barn this week!?? From putting our Barners general knowledge to the test with some wild trivia, to fuelling our brains (+tummies!)?with a deeelicious curry,?we all had lots of fun all coming together and taking part????

A huge well done to our very own Ella's FC who competed in a charity football tournament with other local businesses this week! ??? They not only did an amazing job by reaching the quarter finals, but most importantly did all this to raise support for our charity partner Action for Children?? A BIG thank you to Business Fives Ltd for organising such a great event which brings local businesses together to give back to the community ?????

HAP'PEA BIRTHDAY to us!?? We officially turned 19 this week and we're feeling grown up...well...kinda!?? In celebration, we decided to ask ChatGP for a little inspiration from around the world to see what crazy things we could get up to, to celebrate... 1???Who knew saunas were such a big deal? Over in Finland you can pop on over to your first sauna etiquette class...?? 2?? In Argentina, you have to wait until you're 19 to join a local amateur football match! Football boots at the ready?? 3?? Ready for a goon bag party?! That's a wine box party in Australia-speak! Once you turn 19, you can officially buy your first box of wine?? 4?? Possibly the wildest one of them all, in Italy you can order an espresso and pretend to be a coffee connoisseur! ?? With all these recommendations, we decided to keep it old school and all come together for a day in the barns to celebrate an amazing 19 years of helping every little one grow up happy, healthy and never hungry. Something that is super important to us all and we can't wait to continue doing for many more birthdays to come!????
