We had an incredible time at the TMC3 Collaborative Building tour at TMC Helix Park organized by Texas Society of Architects! Thank you to everyone who joined us to explore this groundbreaking facility, where MD Anderson Cancer Center, Texas A&M University, and UTHealth LLC are advancing interdisciplinary research. Led by CEO and Founding Principal David Manfredi FAIA, LEED AP, the tour showcased the building’s 250,000 square feet of laboratories, offices, and collaborative spaces, highlighting the stunning central atrium designed to foster transparency and interaction among institutions. Presentations covered the importance of open space in promoting occupant health, the design evolution from concept to final building with a focus on flexibility for research, and insights into the construction process and challenges overcome by Vaughn Construction. On October 2, we attended the grand opening for 40 Thorndike in Cambridge, MA! What a wonderful day celebrating this amazing project and the team that transformed the former Edward J Sullivan Courthouse and Jail into a 20-story mixed-use office, retail, and residential building. 40 Thorndike consists of 422,000-square feet of Class-A office space on the upper floors as well as 48 residential apartments at levels 2 and 3.
