Meet August, the newest member of the Elixir team! Since many of you saw our pregnancy announcement we shared a few months ago, we wanted to make sure you knew that our little dude made it safely into the world and is thriving. We had no idea what we were in for. We took birthing classes so we kinda knew it on some level. But no amount of education can truly prepare you for how it feels to experience it. The birth process, the first time holding this tiny human, the surreal drive home from the hospital, our new, somehow heightened capacity for love, the first time he smiled at us, So. Much. Gas., the sleeplessness ?? and much much more. It’s all incredible and dizzying and we couldn’t have more gratitude for his existence. We also owe a huge thanks to the rest of the Elixir team, who have been pulling extra weight during this early phase in August’s life. We have the best crew imaginable! And in case you’re wondering - yes, we are going to be those crazy parents that try to keep our kid’s face off of the internet. Wish us luck ??

Fellow Highlands Kroger shoppers: your shopping experience just became a little more local! And this one hits particularly close to home for us - literally. It’s like a mile from our house. Plus, if you’re extra like us and will make a Kroger run for just an avocado - now you have another item to justify the trip ?? Head to the end of AISLE 15 and you’ll find a cute little fridge stocked only with Elixir.

Yall are keeping us busy! Just over a year into our new space, we had to make renovations to create room for more fermenters. One of these tanks will allow us to make an additional 7000+ cans of bubbly deliciousness (word? ??) per month! And knocking these walls out will give us enough room for several more. We probably can’t say “stay thirsty” so we won’t. Just keep doing what you’re doing ??

Hey yall! Corey here. We don’t make a lot of personal posts but many of you have been following our journey since 2016, so we wanted to let you in on the news. I’m so happy to announce that my wife and co-founder, Danielle, is roughly 10 weeks away from bringing our first child - a boy - into the world!! I’m gonna dote on her for a moment - probably to her disliking cause she doesn’t seek the spotlight. Just one of the many reasons I love her, btw. Our fertility journey was lengthy. It took us 3 years to get to our first positive pregnancy test. Although we had our ups and downs, she never lost hope. She took it one month at a time with a mindset of persistence. She never gave up. She’s learned persistence over the 19 years of putting up with me ?? and 8 years of running a business together, and determination served her during our many months of failed attempts. Also, as you can see in the photos, during her pregnancy, she has stayed very much involved in production and still manages to power through our exercise routines after work ?? She can do it all and I’m so proud to be married to her! Today felt like the perfect day to reveal the news to our community for a few reasons. One is obvious - being Mother’s Day - and her looking forward to being a mother very soon. But Danielle also has a special role at Elixir - which we facetiously call the Mother Mother ??. Among her many skills, as Mother Mother, she oversees the health and balance of our kombucha cultures - which are commonly called mothers. An imbalance in the cultures can result in an inability to produce new cultures. This role is crucial to the quality and consistency of our product - and Danielle is pro at it! There are many things - both within Elixir and without - that have come together to prepare Danielle for actual motherhood. We have been dreaming of this next chapter for many years and I am so grateful to be a companion to Danielle on this journey. We also owe huge thanks to our family, friends and employees, all of whom have lightened the load as we prepare for parenthood. We couldn’t do it without our community! Fans of Louisville City FC and Racing Louisville FC can now enjoy the same kombucha both teams have been sipping on at their training facility this season. Does our kombucha give them super soccer powers? Well, LouCity is 7-1 so far…just sayin ??
