Over a year in the making, this month Elix officially launches our new Health Coaching program to continue supporting healing at the root cause of chronic conditions with an evidence-based East meets West approach. Research indicates that over 80% of chronic conditions could be prevented through lifestyle modifications. That’s why we spent the past year diving deep into the current clinical research to develop Elix’s 6 Pillars of Holistic Wellness—the foundation of our Coaching Program—and piloted with over 5,000 community members to support: * PCOS? * Endometriosis? * Fibroids? * Perimenopause? * Irregular cycles? * Transitioning off hormonal contraceptives? * Fertility Health * And more! This program also helps with general wellness goals, such as learning basic Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) techniques for improved energy, sleep and digestive health. Incredibly touched and honored to make the list as #2 on Bustle’s AAPI founder list of 2024 alongside so many founders and creators I deeply admire. My journey back to my roots in rediscovering Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and launching Elix has been deeply healing - not just for my hormone health but also in cultivating a deeper sense of identity and appreciation for the beauty and wisdom of Eastern heritage. We enjoyed the opportunity to speak at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health's Conference on Friday to discuss complementary and alternative medicine. Amanda Eilian had a rich conversation with Lulu Ge and Carol Huffman about the future of this space. The basic philosophy of complementary and alternative medicine is holistic care—a focus on treating whole person health—which is at the center of our work at Able Partners. As patient engagement with the traditional healthcare system declines, the broader healthcare ecosystem—payers and providers—will be looking for compelling ways to improve engagement. ? of Americans do not currently have a primary care provider. Complementary and alternative medicine could become a compelling "front door" to the healthcare sector if payers and providers can find ways to partner.

Let's talk about our complicated relationship with #birthcontrol. I believe there is a major difference between birth control for contraceptive use vs. birth control for menstrual / hormonal?health and "cycle regulation". Given that birth control as a fundamental right is under attack in so many areas of the country, it's important for us to defend its usage as a human right for what it was created to do as a contraceptive while we continue to advocate for expansion of access to proven holistic treatments made specifically created for women's health and chronic care rather than continuing to use birth control as a bandied solution here. I went off birth control before I got married and experienced debilitating menstrual volatility – weight gain, acne, hair loss, mood swings you name it. Going back on birth control was not an acceptable option for me, so after a roller coaster experience with healthcare, I found my way back to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) which finally addressed healing my hormonal imbalances at the root cause. I found a natural option for menstrual symptoms and founded Elix to create a convenient way for anyone experiencing chronic conditions to access this time-tested, ancient wisdom. For me, birth control masked my symptoms like a bandaid and did not deliver long term hormone healing. My story echoes the hundreds and thousands of similar stories I’ve heard from Elix community members in all 50 states, across the political spectrum in both red and blue states, from ages 12-51. Elix has seen triple-digit year over year growth because women are looking for more holistic approaches to their health and are interested in greater access to natural yet efficacious solutions.
