Here's some interesting statistics this #IWD: ??Engineers Ireland reported that female engineers represented only 12% of the profession in Ireland, highlighting the need for continued progress. ??The gender pay gap in Ireland remains a reality. In 2022, it stood at 9.6%, meaning that, on average, men earned 9.6% more than women. ??Nearly 31% of employed women work part-time, compared to 14% of men, indicating a significant gender disparity in full-time employment. ??The Medical Council reports that as of 2024, 41% of Physicians in Ireland are female, but good news is the percentage getting closer to evening out each year! Progress is happening, but there’s still work to do. By promoting inclusivity, supporting women in the workplace, and challenging barriers, we can help create a more balanced workforce.
