We are grateful to have Angela on the Elite Care at Oatfield Estates team.
Angela began her career in community-based care at the age of 16 when she began waiting tables at a nursing home. During the summer months in high school, she worked as a dietary aid and prep cook. When she graduated high school, she started cooking full time. Post high school, Angela worked first as a cook, then as a lead cook, and finally as a dietary manager for fifteen years at a larger senior living company. In 2015, Angela found Elite Care Senior Living . She was intrigued by the things that make Elite Care different on purpose: home-style cooking in an homey environment, not closed behind a door in an industrial kitchen. She loved that you got to interact with residents, cooking and even eating with them. Angela worked in Larch and Tabor houses from 2015 to 2019, before taking a year hiatus, and then returning to Elite Care in 2020 as the Dietary Manager of Oatfield Estates. Each month Angela creates 3 different menus for our large campus, catering to the various care levels and dietary needs of our residents. Her favorite thing about Elite Care continues to be cooking up close to the residents–knowing and seeing what they like, making them happy, seeing their reactions to the food, and also being able to have the autonomy to make changes to the culinary program instantly.
