What an inspiring day at the Carahsoft Charity Golf Classic supporting childhood cancer research! The Elisity team was proud to participate in this meaningful event yesterday at Desert Pines Golf Club in Las Vegas. It was particularly special to connect with Bill Russell, Founder of This Week Health, who represented Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation (ALSF) – the largest independent childhood cancer charity in the U.S. ALSF does incredible work filling critical research gaps to develop safer, more effective treatments for children fighting cancer and providing crucial support to childhood cancer families. Beyond the golf, the connections made and the cause supported made this a truly worthwhile experience. While we're focused on protecting enterprises through identity-based microsegmentation, days like yesterday remind us of the importance of giving back to our community. A year ago this week, a devastating cyberattack on Change Healthcare disrupted the entire U.S. healthcare system, affecting over 100 critical healthcare functions and endangering patient care nationwide. This unprecedented attack highlighted the systemic risks we face when mission-critical healthcare services are concentrated in single providers. According to the American Hospital Association, 74% of hospitals reported direct patient care impacts and 94% faced financial disruption. The healthcare community responded with strengthened requirements. The proposed HIPAA Security Rule updates will soon mandate network segmentation controls based on risk analysis - moving this from "addressable" to "required." As trusted healthcare security leaders, we must work together to implement these enhanced protections.
