U.S. Halts Military Aid to Ukraine Following President Donald Trump’s decision to halt U.S. military aid to Ukraine last Friday, local organizations like?Elevate Ukraine?and the?Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation?in the Brazos Valley are expressing concern about the potential impact on the ongoing conflict and the humanitarian crisis. This decision comes a little over three years since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, 2022. Now, three years into the war and no ceasefire in sight, local organizations are concerned about the impact this halt could have. “It’s not only giving Russia more momentum and confidence, but it is basically telling them that whatever terms they want that our government’s going to agree to at this moment,” said Lena Denman, founder of Arlene Campbell Humanitarian Foundation. That sentiment was shared by US Former Ambassador to Ukraine Roman Popadiuk who said this sends the wrong message not only to Russia but to our allies. “I think they’ll see it as strengthening their hand, and also in the peace negotiations that might be taking place in the future but also send the wrong signal to a lot of our allies overseas in terms of our reliability as a partner when the chips are down, so to speak,” Popadiuk emphasized. Elevate Ukraine President and CEO Radu Filip said at the end of the day, the devastation this war has caused will last for years after the war is over. “No matter if the war ends tomorrow or doesn’t end tomorrow, there will be suffering there because of the sheer scale of this war for years to come. I’m a proud naturalized Texan and American, and I’d like to call to my fellow Americans to put aside the political views and join us to help ordinary people, kids, parents, teachers, doctors; people who suffer,” pleaded Filip. • Statement on President Zelenskyy's Visit to Washington For immediate release College Station, Texas March 2nd, 2025 President Zelenskyy's visit to Washington last week ended in disappointment as a result of differences regarding Ukraine's rightful concerns over security and the conduct of any eventual peace process that may shortchange Ukraine's interests. These differences have raised international concerns about the U. S. commitment to Ukraine. Despite the setback, officials in the U.S. and Europe are working to ensure continued U.S. and European support of Ukraine in fending off the Russian aggression. While the diplomatic process continues to unfold, the people of the U.S. are committed to helping Ukraine. Various American organizations have been working closely with their Ukrainian counterparts to provide humanitarian assistance. This assistance encompasses a wide range of items, including medical kits, food, generators, communications equipment and clothing, American business is heavily involved in Ukraine, including the defense sector, and looks forward to strengthening the economic partnership. Together, in partnership with Ukraine, all these organizations and businesses are working very hard to helping Ukraine be a strong, viable, prosperous and secure member of the community of nations. Elevate Ukraine, which has been providing humanitarian assistance, is part of this effort and we look forward to our continued work with our Ukrainian colleagues. The bonds between the American people and Ukrainian people cannot and will not be broken. Roman Popadiuk Chairman, Elevate Ukraine https://lnkd.in/dZmeeMqt

  • Reflecting on Three Years of War February 24th marks three years since Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. What was meant to be a swift victory for the Kremlin has turned into a brutal war of attrition. The toll on Ukraine’s people is staggering. ? Over 1.8 million women have been forced to flee their homes. ? Nearly 6.7 million people—men, women, and children—desperately need humanitarian aid. ? As of December 31, 2024, the UN has verified 40,838 civilian casualties, though the real number is likely far higher. ? On average, at least 16 children are killed or injured every week. The military losses are equally devastating, with nearly 500,000 Ukrainian and Russian troops killed or wounded. Despite this, Ukraine continues to stand strong—fighting not just for its sovereignty, but for its future. Your Contributions in Action Since September 2022, Elevate Ukraine has raised over $500,000, making a real impact on those most affected by the war: ? $250,000+ in medical supplies sent to hospitals in Kharkiv, Poltava, and Mykolayiv. ? Over 1,500 trauma kits distributed, saving an estimated 1,500+ lives. ? Tens of thousands of displaced individuals received shelter, food, and medical aid. ? $100,000+ allocated for ambulances and medical evacuations. ? 20+ Starlink devices provided to keep frontline medical teams connected. This support has been life-changing for thousands, and it’s only possible because of donors like you. Looking Ahead: 2025 and Beyond At our January board meeting, Elevate Ukraine reaffirmed its commitment to humanitarian aid and announced new initiatives in two critical post-war areas: ? Veteran Support: Prosthetics, rehabilitation, psychological aid, and job reintegration programs. ? Education: Scholarships, teacher training, and vocational programs to help young Ukrainians rebuild their future. We’re also expanding efforts in mental health, housing for displaced families, and long-term rehabilitation centers. Thank You to Our Donors None of this would be possible without our donors, partners, and volunteers. Your generosity is shaping Ukraine’s future—one of resilience, strength, and hope. Ways to Help: ? Donate: Every contribution funds life-saving medical aid and essential supplies. ? Volunteer: Help Ukrainian veterans, children, and families. ? Spread the Word: Share our mission and amplify our impact. As Ambassador Roman Popadyuk, Chairman of Elevate Ukraine, said: "The world continues to be inspired by the bravery of the Ukrainian people. Your support not only helps them survive today but ensures Ukraine emerges stronger tomorrow." Together, we can make a difference. #StandWithUkraine #ElevateUkraine #UkraineSupport #SlavaUkraini

  • Elevate Ukraine's Humanitarian Mission and Post-War Recovery Efforts Since the start of the war, Elevate Ukraine has worked tirelessly to provide critical humanitarian aid, delivering medical kits, food supplies, evacuation assistance, and care for orphans. Our mission has been to protect both lives and the social fabric of Ukrainian society, building a foundation for recovery and future growth. Now, with peace on the horizon, we are shifting focus toward post-war recovery to help Ukraine heal and rebuild. At our January 2025 Board meeting, we identified two priority areas: veteran reintegration and education development. Both are essential for long-term stability and success. Veterans and their families will need both immediate assistance and long-term services to reintegrate into society and rebuild their lives. We are dedicated to providing: - Prosthetics: for both veterans and civilians injured in the war. - Mental health support: counseling to help with trauma recovery. - Job programs: counseling and placement services to empower veterans with new opportunities. Ukraine’s children have faced significant educational disruption and trauma. Elevate Ukraine is committed to strengthening education through: - Basic learning materials: ensuring access to essential resources for schools and students. - Teacher training: supporting educators to meet the needs of a post-war generation. - Scholarships and support programs: providing opportunities for children to grow and succeed. Education will not only heal trauma but also build a skilled, resilient population ready to drive Ukraine’s growth. To maximize impact, Elevate Ukraine will partner with both U.S. and Ukraine-based organizations. These collaborations will allow us to provide wide-ranging support for both immediate recovery and long-term national rebuilding. This is why it’s so important to give love and support this Valentine’s Day. By helping Elevate Ukraine, you are directly impacting the lives of veterans and children, empowering Ukraine to build a brighter future.
