关于我们
Elevate Oregon is a non-profit youth service organization delivering “an invitation to achieve” to youth in the 4th to 12th grade in the Parkrose School District, one of the most disconnected, under-resourced and diverse school districts in the state. We develop long-term relationships and promote academic success, self-reliance and leadership through in-class and out-of-class programming and mentorship. What we do: Elevate Oregon is a year-round program centered on promoting education, self-reliance, and leadership. Through culturally responsive, long-term, relational support we empower young people to become leaders and productive citizens. Our school-based community asset-building efforts cultivate character qualities and life skills that equip students with the tools they need to find their own voice, strength, and success. How we do it: Achieving our mission starts with relationships. Our teacher/Mentors deliver a culturally responsive, age/grade appropriate in-class curriculum focused on 13 character and life-skills, such as vision, courage, respect, problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership. Teacher/Mentors establish the foundation for meaningful, long-term relationships that are deepened through a range of mentoring activities that take place outside of school. Out of school programming—after school, on the weekends, and during the summer, is designed to reinforce the core values taught in the classroom. For more information visit: www.elevateoregon.org

I’m looking forward to a fun night of celebrating ?? with my friends, family, and supporters of Elevate Oregon ! So much to be proud of and thankful for as we continue our journey together to make our communities better! See you all soon! ????
Each year, Elevate Oregon presents a very special award to a Black woman whose professional endeavors significantly contribute to our community. We named this award after our former Executive Director Marcy Bradley, a community leader, a visionary, and a role model for young women and for all. As Chief Community Engagement and Equity Officer at the The Oregon Community Foundation, Marcy oversees statewide, community-driven grantmaking programs that address the state's most pressing needs. The Portland Trail Blazers @ the Rose Quarter recently awarded her the Hometown Hero Award in recognition of her significant impact for Oregon youth. Stay tuned for our next email, where we'll reveal our 2025 Awardee! Ali Migaki of iQ Credit Union shared her expertise, passion, and strength with mentees on Mentoring Monday at the Portland Business Journal Women's Summit. ???????????? After four years of Elevate Oregon Board service, Ali will step into the Board Chair role in July 2025!
What an incredible day celebrating the leadership of women at the Portland Business Journal’s Annual Women’s Summit! This year’s Mentoring Monday brought together over 400 women for meaningful conversations, mentorship, and connection. I was honored to serve as a mentor, leading a discussion on Growth Mindset and the power of community in both professional and personal development. I opened the conversation by sharing my own journey—because storytelling is such a powerful way to connect, inspire, and remind us that growth often comes from overcoming challenges, learning from setbacks, and embracing new opportunities. It was also great to see iQ Credit Union staff in the room, engaging with these phenomenal women and expanding their own networks. Shoutout to the three incredible panelists, Shari Dunn, Mayor Lacey Beaty, and Pamela Neferkará, for kicking off the event with their powerful perspectives on imposter syndrome. A huge thank you to Portland Business Journal for hosting this impactful event year after year. Investing in women’s leadership and mentorship strengthens our communities and creates lasting ripple effects. Let’s keep the conversation going—growth happens when we share our stories, learn from each other, and support one another!

Our Boys2Men group from Parkrose High School attended a Portland Trail Blazers Career Learning Experience this month. Students visited the Rose Quarter campus to participate in a behind-the-scenes tour of the Moda Center followed by a career panel with some staff. It was a fantastic career development opportunity for this group of future-minded Elevate students looking at jobs in the sports industry. Thank you Rip City! Elevate Oregon sophomores and juniors interested in attending the University of Oregon traveled to Eugene this month for a tour. We were able to explore the campus and check out some exclusive lecture halls. We appreciate the 1-on-1 time with the?UO?student ambassadors who made Elevate youth feel welcome and answered every question! #elevateoregon?#uo?#mentor?#universityoforegon?#mentorship?#youthdevelopment?#mentoring?#careerdevelopment?#portlandoregon?#portlandnonprofit?#portland?#mentorshipmatters
