Last week, Ironwood High School welding students had the opportunity to tour All Things Metal in North Phoenix, exploring everything from construction design and estimating to steel cutting, welding, safety, and installation. Students even got hands-on with FCAW-G, a welding technique used in the structural steel industry! I arranged for 29 of our female students at Phoenix Coding Academy to attend the 6th annual Girls Get IT Conference at Scottsdale Community College last Friday. We were the school with the largest group there, and every single one of them had a blast! Can't wait to do this again next year!
