We build smart, sustainable grant programs that help nonprofits succeed.
关于我们
Elevate is a woman-owned and woman-led business established to help nonprofit organizations of all sizes build, sustain, and grow effective grant programs. Our unique team model allows us to provide high-impact grant strategy, writing, and data management to nearly 100 clients annually. Our clients work in a wide variety of issue areas and typically have annual budgets anywhere between $1 million and $12 million. For most of these organizations, our teams fill the role of part-time or full-time grant writing and management staff. We are committed to lifting up the nonprofits who are making progress possible. As part of that commitment, we are deeply invested in the growth and learning of our staff. We are always looking for staff to fill entry, mid-career, and senior fundraising roles and have established career development pathways to support our team members as they seek to advance professionally within the company. When our staff go onto roles at other organizations, we often end up working with them again as their grant writing consultants.

Mark your calendars ya'll, our final 2024 webinar is hosted by Alix Rosenfeld! How do you win funding? By seeing philanthropic organizations as partners, not funders. Relationship building is a huge part of winning philanthropic dollars for nonprofits. In this 90-minute training, Elevate’s experts will lead you through the relationship-building stage of the grant cycle, including who to cultivate at philanthropic organizations, and how to do it. Thank you to our colleague, Eric Spioch, for sharing this dedication to Sylvester a gender non-conforming African-American disco singer in Chicago, IL. On his sabbatical, Eric spent some time in Chicago where he was able to visit Sylvester's memorial on North Halsted street. If you're in the area, you should check it out! #LifeAtElevate

Rather than sending a 'cold' grant request to a foundation that does not know your organization's work, reach out and introduce yourself. Identify a connection using your network of established partners, LinkedIn, or Board of Directors. If you find a mutual connection, ask them to introduce you. If you can't identify a connection, reach out anyway via email to introduce yourself. Your proposal is more likely to be considered if the foundation knows who you are and expects your proposal. #ElevateTuesdayTip

Our colleague, Zach Hoskins, was sorely missed while he was traveling abroad for his sabbatical! Elevate offers a 4-week sabbatical as a perk for staff for every 6 years of employment. These sabbaticals are designed to allow tenured staff space to relax and recharge. Can you tell where Zach ventured off to from these photos? #LifeAtElevate

In honor of World Kindness Day, we're reflecting on our wonderful colleagues and the joy they bring to our workplace every day. This mini #photodump encompasses bits and pieces of all of our colleagues' compassion and care: from adding a bit of joy to a nutritious snack, showing off their artistic prowess, or celebrating Bat Week '24, we simply work some of the best people in the world who bring their kindness to the forefront every day. Thank you to Sam Murphy, Haley Tyler, and Stephanie LaPorte Potts for sharing these gems with us. #LifeAtElevate

#ElevateTuesdayTip Do you know which grantmakers support your partners, peers, and competitors? You should! Peer prospecting is a great way to identify funding opportunities for your organization. Foundations often award grants to several organizations in a similar geographic and issue area each grant cycle.
