Last week we celebrated Mike Dumas from the Halifax retail team with a special package for his outstanding commitment and dedication to NOSTALGIA!??Since the beginning, Mike has been one of our top movers (and buyers!) as he has been consistently educating and helping our customers learn all about the magic of Nostalgia. From his amazing attitude on the floor to his passion for helping people experience the most out of our flower, Mike is someone who customers, coworkers and just about everyone loves to be around! What did he get? ?? Being a Disc golf fan, we had to hook him up with 2 custom discs, some unreleased flower along with a bunch of Nostalgia swag all packed into a new disc golf bag! Our Director of Cultivation Josh Barnhart was there to personally thank Mike for his efforts and present him with this token of our gratitude. In February 2020 I was introduced to Barznab Khan. He was interested in updating an existing building in Kingston, MA. His vision was to create a fully vertically integrated cannabis facility inclusive of a dispensary, cultivation, and extraction/infusion for his new venture, Elevated Roots. As we developed the business model it became clear that the manufacturing component would need to be limited to very specific products to ensure the proper space for the dispensary and cultivation. Based on the funding, the project was phased with development of the dispensary taking priority over the cultivation. In January 2021 the dispensary reached substantial completion and soon after was opened. Later that year, after the dispensary operations were running smoothly the focus turned to the cultivation / manufacturing portions of the building. Plans were developed, then modified, to align with updates to the vision including the budget, revenue forecasts, and operational needs. In 2023 the facility was completed, and operations began. Now, a year later, the fruits (or flowers) of the team's work can be fully seen. The success of the project can be attributed to everyone involved. The entire Elevated Roots team was integral to the success of the design and implementation. Their clarity of vision ensured the design team had the necessary information to develop a facility aligned to their needs and desires. The products being produced are world class.
