Elevated Foods was founded with a vision to invigorate great brands and position them for sustainable long-term growth. In an industry facing increasing disruption, we see the opportunity to build a fresh produce company for a new age, one that brings together differentiated yet complementary brands and aims to make them stronger than they would be on their own. We’ve identified a common thread between our farms –the capacity to Elevate our food system. From land stewardship and nutritional quality to career development and community well-being, Elevated aims to increase the health of our planet and its people. In 2022, Elevated was awarded a $20,000,000 grant as part of USDA’s Partnerships for Climate Smart Commodities program.

We’ve just launched The Rooted Journal, America’s first media channel dedicated to regenerative farming, published by Elevated Foods and supported by a grant from the USDA's Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities. The Rooted Journal explores regenerative farming through elevated thinking and stories rooted in food and the future. It's your guide to the "Modern Old School."     Food is Health | Sustainable Agriculture | Into Action

    Great several days in Indianapolis this week with NASDA - National Association of State Departments of Agriculture! It was aweome to see Commissioners, Secretaries, and Directors of Agriculture from all 50 states working together on complex issues and opportunities facing America’s farmers and producers. It was great to re-connect with Arizona Director of Agriculture Paul Brierley, and I particularly enjoyed the food-is-health discussion during the “Food Systems and Nutrition” Policy Committee Meeting led by Connecticut Ag Commissioner Bryan Hurlburt and CDFA Secretary Karen Ross. We look forward to working with all 50 states in improving access to healthy fresh fruits and vegetables! Thank you Ted McKinney for the invitation, and thanks Dawn Riley for joining me in learning more about state Ag challenges and sharing more about our work at Project FoodBox and Elevated Foods! ????????????????????

    I am thrilled to say that I have joined the Elevated Foods team as their Regenerative Agriculture Specialist. I am especially grateful to the incredible people I have met this past year as I completed my master's degree. Thank you Kerrie Carfagno PhD, MBA for being a pillar of support, Vishal Agrawal for telling me to pursue agriculture with my whole heart, and the rest of my incredible cohort as I ranted way too much about soil in class.     One way USDA supports local and regional food system development is through the Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP). This grant program has funded projects that provide new market opportunities to farmers, increase access to local foods in underserved areas, support culturally relevant or niche products, and build more equitable markets for small, beginning and socially disadvantaged farmers. These investments not only aid farmers in reaching a broader customer base but also promote economic growth in rural areas. Additionally, FMPP supports infrastructure improvements, marketing efforts, and technical assistance, all of which enhance the viability and sustainability of farmers’ markets, fostering a more resilient and equitable food system. #NationalFarmersMarketWeek #AMSinAction
