In 2024, female entrepreneurs opened more than 15,000 home services businesses, revealing a significant shift in industries once dominated by men.? ?? From lawn care (+31%) to electricians (+15%), home services beat every category on Yelp for total women-owned business openings for the second consecutive year.? ?? Yelp data shows female service pros grew their market share in traditionally male-dominated industries, outpacing national averages in categories like appliances & repair (+41%), TV mounting (+39%), masonry (+28%), and plumbing (+17%). ?? Louisville, KY leads the charge with a 53% increase in new women-led services business openings.
