In September, Typhoon Yagi struck Northern Vietnam as one of the most intense tropical cyclones ever recorded in the region. While there was much devastation, A&E Vietnam employees sprang into action, coming together to help support those impacted directly by the storm. “Our team raised funds to assist deeply affected employees of one of our valued customers, many of whom lost their personal assets in the storm, “ said A&E Vietnam HR and Admin Manager, Klara Doan. “Our employees’ efforts and assistance showcase A&E’s ability to collaborate to help others in a difficult time.” Thank you to our A&E Vietnam Thread LLC team. A&E Dongmei recently organized an event aimed to educate children and parents on environmental protection values through fun activities. The children toured our Dongmei thread manufacturing facility to see how these environmental values are applied during production, before enjoying a creative session with building blocks and painting. Working together with their parents, the kids created artwork on the day’s events, using waste materials in their crafting and learning the concepts of reusing and recycling. “We are proud to share our values within our local communities, said East Asia Managing Director, Stephen Cox. “Environmental protection is one of the core values our company shares across its regions. Cone Denim has taken the next step toward increasing renewable energy usage and reducing greenhouse gas emissions with the construction and launch of its first rooftop solar project in Jiaxing, China.? The solar panel initiative will generate 9 MWH of electricity annually. Thursday, A&E hosted members of the U.S. International Trade Commission (USITC). The delegation is on a learning tour, visiting textile leaders, and gaining knowledge about our industry.
