DAY TWO recap -- Colorado Business Roundtable (COBRT) hosted the State Business Roundtable Executives and Presidents to Denver for the Fall convening. Thank you to all the individuals and companies who were part of planning for a fabulous convening. Day two began the day with an insightful tour of Lockheed Martin’s Orion Space Capsule, followed by lunch with a panel of executives. Many were surprised to learn that Colorado is the top employer in the #aerospace industry per capita. Thank you to Lisa Luedtke, Chad Vorthmann and Joe Rice with Lockheed for coordinating the visit. Our first briefing covered #Quantum Technology, led by Zachary Yerushalmi, CEO and Regional Innovation Officer of Elevate Quantum, and Wendy Lea, Co-Founder and Chair of Energize Colorado, who also serves on the Board of Directors for Elevate Quantum. This session explored the transformative potential of quantum technology and highlighted Colorado’s leadership in this rapidly growing field. The second briefing focused on #AI Policy, where Colorado's unique role as the first state to pass AI regulations was examined. We discussed the implications for businesses and policymakers. Speakers included Jon Nordmark, CEO of iterate.AI, Mark Champoux, Partner at Davis Graham & Stubbs, and Brittany Morris Saunders, President and CEO of the Colorado Technology Association.
