Elevate is thrilled to celebrate positive trends seen in new analysis of an outstanding first year of the MOMS Partnership in Maine! Led by local leaders from BangorHousing and Community Health and Counseling Services, with support from the Maine Department of Health and Human Services and the John T. Gorman Foundation, Maine MOMS is moving the needle on maternal mental health. After one year, a snapshot of findings paints a promising picture: Maine moms are taking a 2-month journey to reduced stress and improved mental health. In Maine, MOMS Partnership is a program that moms love, are recommending to their friends, and showing up for week after week. Highlights include: -?Record attendance: Moms are joining a median of 7 out of 8 classes. -?96% would recommend MOMS a friend. -?93% were very satisfied or satisfied. -?Preliminary analysis of data on key mental health measures reflects positive trends. Moms say: -?“This class was helpful to me, teaching me ways to manage my stress in different ways. Helping me to be a better mom to my children.” -?“It felt like family, was great to get away and talk with other moms and know you are not alone. Learned great ways to cope with everyday stressors.” -?“This group was a highlight of my week; it was supportive and very helpful.” Read more about Maine MOMS below. -?Maine Public Radio: https://lnkd.in/e-Nvmzym - Bangor Daily News: https://lnkd.in/eupG9jve -?WABI5: https://lnkd.in/e7s9mmsy Congratulations to the Maine MOMS Team on their impactful work! It was great to be together with my colleagues from Yale Child Study Center yesterday for the Yale School of Medicine's Pros4Peers Webinar Series for Mental Health Awareness Month. So valuable to keep the conversation going yesterday by talking about the importance of mental health for parents and caregivers!
